Νon Formal Library is an initiative of Hellenic Youth Participation that came to life by the program "Your Non Formal Library" funded by the European Volunteer Service of Erasmus + Key Action 1 for October 2018 - August 2019. Three young people from Europe came to Athens to become part of a large group of people with a common goal: to spread non-formal learning and to promote it to young people, educators, teachers, trainers, facilitators and anyone interested in non-formal education. The library is translated in three languages and our main goal is to translate it to more languages, making it even more accessible to everyone.

Volunteers from Spain, Cyprus, Poland, Italy and France contributed to this effort in designing and implementing the activities as well as in creating the material.

Without them the dream would have stayed a dream, while now we can share it with all of you, with the hope that the library will continue to grow. From autumn we will add activities from our groups of young people from various youth activities. You can also contribute to our library by becoming a member of our community.

Meet our team

Chrysanthi

I am Chrysanthi, from Cyprus. I am 30 years old. I am here in Athens almost 9 months now for the project “Your Non-Formal Library”. This is my project and we are working on this project together with Pilar and Rodrigo.

Rodri

My name is Rodrigo, I am 27 years old, from Spain. I am working to create, search, develop and translate activities in the Non Formal Library from Spanish to English (and vice versa).

Pilar

Pilar, 25 years old. I come from Spain. My projects is to create and write non formal activities for the Non formal library. Also I translate the activities from Spanish to English, and from English to Spanish.

Maja

I'm Maja, 25 years old. I come from Kraków, Poland. I am in Athens for 6 months and I work in a project about outdoor activities. I write outdoor activities for the Non Formal Library and I translate the other content to Polish.

Filippo

I'm Filippo, I'm from Italy and I'm 26 years old. My project is about outdoor activities so I put in the NFL some activities to do outside and also I translate the others to Italian.

Julia

I am Julia, 25 years old. I come from Poland. I am here for one months. My projects is preparing digital content for the website and also making graphics for the Non Formal Library.

Paula

Paula. I am 21 years old and I am from Poland. I work in making graphics designs for non-formal activities.

Céliane

I am Céliane, I am 20 and I’m from France. My project is about Informal Education and it’s for 2 months. I do posters for the activities and also I organise French language cafe to share my language and experiences.

Nefeli

I'm Nefeli, volunteering projects coordinator in Hellenic Youth Participation. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to work with young people from different countries who shared the same passion and interest for non formal education. Creating this tool was a dream for many years for our team because we would like to share the knowledge we have in non formal education with people who want to include it in their work. We are happy that we made the dream true and I want to thank everyone who supported us throughout the process!

Marianna

My name is Marianna, I'm 33 years old and I am from Greece. I am a teacher and during this project I provided training sessions to the volunteers using tools and methods of non-formal education. I was responsible for the supervision of the creation, writing and translation of the activities in this library.

Eleni

My name is Eleni, I am a coordinator of educational programs in HYP and a non-formal education trainer. I also coordinate with our local youth groups such as Mnemosine and Trainers Academy. In Non Formal Library I took care of the quality aspects of the activities and their application to young people. Our goal is for the library to be constantly enriched with new youth activities.
